Custom developed seeds collecting machine

Project duration: 01.05.2022 - 01.05.2023
Responsible person: Janez Benedičič PhD.

With the help of Semenko KIS, a prototype machine for collecting indigenous seed material, developed and manufactured in the Lecad laboratory, meadows are successfully restored and indigenous meadow communities are established.

The brush machine has proven to be very successful and useful in practice. With it, a diverse set of seed mixes can be quickly and efficiently collected on well-maintained meadows. These mixtures are then sown on the areas on which the lawns are restored.

It is the only brush machine of this size in our country, manufactured as an attachment on the frontal hydraulics of the tractor. The working width of the machine is 3 m. The central hydrostatic drive of the brushes is driven by tractor hydraulics, which allows changing the direction and speed of rotation, thus achieving optimal working conditions. The large working width and picking speed enable high productivity, which is why Semenko is mainly intended for work on large areas.
