The LeCAD Laboratory hosted an international workshop for the GenAID project at the Rog Center!

17.03.2026

From March 5 to 7, 2026, an intensive international workshop was held in Ljubljana as part of the Erasmus+ KA2 GenAID project, which brings together students and higher education institutions in the fields of engineering and smart product development.

Students from the following institutions:

  • University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering
  • Vienna University of Technology
  • Technical University of Darmstadt
  • Poletecnico di Milano
  • University of Zagreb, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture

visited this year’s industry partner, Akrapovič d.d., where they gained firsthand insight into the engineering challenge presented to them by the company. Later, at the Rog Center, they began developing initial solution concepts in international, multidisciplinary teams. ✨

The GenAID project offers students:

  •     the opportunity to use state-of-the-art AI tools in product development,
  •     learning through real-world problems and project-based work,
  •     intensive inter-institutional and international collaboration,
  •     the development of ideas across three phases led by university mentors and an industry partner.

We are proud that at the LECAD laboratory, we can contribute to the development of innovative educational approaches and bridge academic excellence with industry challenges✨.
